From creative studios and banking headquarters to hybrid showroom-office concepts, each of these workspaces shows how lighting isn’t simply another decorative element, but the key that defines contemporary workspaces, underpinning the evolving workday in a perfect synergy between function and wellbeing.

The new C’est Ici Design offices in Dubai reflects the studio’s approach to work: open plan, with areas that can be transformed depending on the time of day. The reception, the communal kitchen, the samples area and the workstations share the same space without being compartmentalised, creating an ambience where collaboration and concentration coexist naturally.

In the reception area three Flamingo light fittings, designed by Antoni Arola, add a sculptural light that brightens up the entrance. The Plusminus textile belt installation in the kitchen introduces a warm and domestic scale sensation in what would otherwise be a functional place.

Sartoriale’s offices in Panama City, designed by DOS-G Arquitectos, take Italian hospitality as their inspiration and translate it into spaces where quality materials, neutral colour tones, and carefully calibrated lighting create a calming and comfortable atmosphere. Work here is done without the oppressive corporate formality.

The Cosmos collection floats over the dining table, its geometry ensures that all eyes are on this lamp. And Africa adds movement to the workstations with a portable and precise lighting. Two pieces that complement one another and convert the space into a place where concentration and communication happen naturally.

Audi reimagines the showroom concept with its House of Progress in Vienna, an interior designed by Schmidhuber, that combines design, technology and sustainability in order to offer an immersive experience inspired by the future of mobility.

Sticks, designed by Arik Levy, extends throughout the building in suspended aluminium rods at different angles and heights, connecting different levels and zones with a continuous line of light. From the offices to the conference rooms, the collection lends visual coherence and reinforces the values of innovation and precision that define Audi through its own graphic aesthetic.

The new DLA Piper headquarters in Oslo, designed by I-d Interior Architecture & Design, combines organic materials, art and modulated light through a language inspired by Nordic design. The goal? To create an elegant and practical workspace that offers a more sustainable design approach.

Plusminus structures the work areas with its linear composition. Tempo brings directional light to the vertical planes, adding depth to the architecture. And Knit introduces warmth and texture to the social areas. In summary, the light creates an environment that fosters both concentration and interaction, contributing to the wellbeing of its occupants.

All in One by CaixaBank in Barcelona, designed by the Francesc Rifé Studio, redefines the space’s corporate image in a sober and warm approach. The Duo ceiling lights with their internal timber lining and exterior aluminium shell, are integrated to resemble rooflights that project a warm uniform lighting.

The balance between technology and materiality generates a visual continuity over the different levels and underlines the brand identity: equal parts elegance and warmth.

Valencia based Ana Ballester’s design studio is, above all else, an extension of her way of understanding architecture: rooted in the day-to-day, conscious of the materials and the human scale. Plusminus structures the light within the space with precision and colour. The textile belt in red tones introduces a warm and vibrant note that creates a dialogue with the joinery and the furniture. The linear fittings hanging over the tables supply the necessary lighting for drawing and model making. At the same time, the vertical spotlights, beside the panoramic window, highlight the works on display. The space manages to convey, in its own way, the studio’s individual character.

BWM Designers & Architects, together with Eigensinn and Cuuluu GmbH, converted an old factory in Vienna into a space for Polestar: showroom and offices within the same industrial volume. Through characterful compositions, Plusminus manages to sculpt the light between private and open plan areas, adapting to different functions with an organic fluidity.

The textile belt creates a visual path that connects the sofa seating areas with the meeting tables, making the space feel like a continuous whole. The result is a contemporary atmosphere that combines industrial elegance with Scandinavian warmth.

The offices for Sauvage TV represent a new generation of workspaces that are more open and sensorial. Located within an old industrial warehouse in the 22@ district of Barcelona that combines architectural heritage and contemporary design.

Plusminus, by the Diez Office, orders this diversity with compositions that alternate spherical and linear fittings on different planes. The earthy colour tone of the textile belt connects with the furniture and the materials of the warehouse, reinforcing the idea of continuity between the different zones.

The new headquarters for Simon in Barcelona occupies the old factory belonging to the company: a building replete with history, now refurbished through the SWITCH project, created by b720 Architects, Katty Schiebeck Studio, Estudi Antoni Arola and MMAS Lighting without sacrifycing any of that memory.

Plusminus, Flamingo and North are distributed throughout the building, each contributing a distinctive character: efficiency in work areas, calm in rest areas, and personality in meeting spaces. As the project’s lighting designer, Michela Mezzavilla, describes it: “Light serves as the raw material and unifying factor of the project.”

Despite the clear differences between these ten projects, the lighting element reinforces the connection between the user and their surroundings, that structures and defines the workspaces in an organic and fluid manner. All of which transform settings that promote creativity and concentration, or to put it another way, places where ideas are born. Ideas that in many instances help shape the future to come.

Inspired by classic design archetypes, the collections from this selection pay homage to tradition from a contemporary viewpoint. Thanks to a collaborative process with high profile designers Vibia reinterprets iconic forms with a contemporary sensibility, transforming familiar objects into poetic and sophisticated lighting experiences.

Evolving Tradition places a value on the potential of lighting to transform classic designs with timeless objects, exploring new materialities and technologies through an enduring language.

This collection connects with traditional charm to evoke delicate and intimate sensations, capable of travelling through time offering a warm and elegant lighting, perfect for adapting to any style or type of setting.

The designers, Studio Palomba Serafini have carefully curated the ethereal quality of this pendant lamp, with the same attention to detail in the design of the slender look of the table version or floor version illustrating how its classical silhouette and contemporary design generate strong feelings.

Nothing is more classical in design than straight and circular lines. However, Vibia brings them into the modern age with the Halo Jewel collection in collaboration with Martín Azúa, projecting a delicate, airy light that appears to float in the atmosphere suggesting a precious element.

This collection by Diego Fortunato is a clear example of reinterpreting the past. Whether it be the floor or table lamp version, Mayfair is a celebration of visual wellbeing which a piece like this can convey, equally suited to the living room, bedroom, or a hallway.

The perfect circle. Yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Ramos & Bassols reimagine the classic ceiling rose for Vibia that has illuminated rooms so elegantly for generations. Featuring simple lines, Top manages to emit a highly functional general direct lighting of subtle beauty, thanks to its glass diffuser.

The stripped back light is also available for walls, like an abstract piece of art. The small central sphere reflects the light towards the larger ring generating a halo effect with relaxing properties that seem to look the observer straight in the eye.

There’s no other piece more traditionally rooted within interior design than the pendant chandelier which Arik Levy reimagines for Vibia through Wireflow Chandelier. A design exercise that celebrates the essential without sacrificing its character.

The various configurations transform the classic hanging feature light with a contemporary flourish that is pure visual joy in a three-dimensional composition.

The classic sphere, enshrined in our collective memory has special connotations, Antoni Arola has reimagined it with a slightly flattened version, paired with an almost invisible system of support cables that reinforces the floating sensation.

The suspension model resembles a luminous hanging garden capable of complementing any setting through the ages. As a wall light, Palma can be configured in vertical and horizontal compositions, which can support vegetation as an added option, which combined with light, creates an exceptional living pairing.

There are designs that are simply timeless. It’s about respecting their essence, experimenting with materials, refining shapes, and carefully crafting lighting so that each of these new pieces can pay homage to the past and, at the same time, point to the future, becoming timeless collections that illuminate a mix of nostalgia and modernity.

The cslender tracks are elegant, unobtrusive, delivering intuitive lighting without overbearing its surroundings.

Compatible with a broad range of functional luminaires, pincer connectors placed freely along each track transform light into a tool for shaping the perfect atmosphere according to the activity. Accent spots and downlights define work zones and encourage smooth transitions between scenes, while flat diffusers deliver calm, general illumination. Alternatively, designers can add a touch of personality to a workspace with a strategically positioned pendant.

Bind is also for smaller scale spaces and residential use. With a combination of lighting typologies and effects, the system allows the designer to curate dynamic spaces that adapt to the evolving needs of the user. A composition of pendants and accent spots can be positioned to spacious bedroom, lending personality by highlighting natural textures and providing a soft pool of soothing bedside light.

Suspended over a kitchen bar, a single track accommodates an arrangement of pendants and accent downlights, providing functional illumination for preparing food as well as an inviting space to enjoy a meal.

When it comes to mood, Bind is as intimate as it is dynamic. Reading nooks can be shaped in quiet corners by a single spotlight angled in the desired direction, or by Tempo pendant suspended low beside a sofa or armchair arrangement.

Multiple Skan, Slim, or North pendants over a dining table bring a quiet elegance while encouraging people to socialise under their soft, warm light. Tunable White light allows the designer to refine the ambience with exact precision.

Bind moves beyond the traditional concept of lighting: it is a comprehensive system that brings balance and harmony to everyday life, resolving complex lighting requirements with practical simplicity. Combining technical innovation and emotional sensitivity, it allows the designer to curate subtle, enveloping atmospheres for every moment, redefining the relationship between light, space, and wellbeing.

Gastronomy is culture. What we eat not only nourishes us, but it also teaches us, it tells us about the lands where the raw materials are sourced from, about how different dishes are prepared. The Montagud publishing house was founded in 1906 to celebrate this intellectual and communal aspect of food, constructing a published archive that records the legacy of the people who practice the art of cooking. The design of these books, and the Apicus magazine published twice yearly, is impeccable: each of the typographies, the blank spaces, the images are carefully considered. The culinary excellence is informed by the excellence of the books, and that same criteria is now applied to the physical space at the new Barcelona showroom, a space designed for encounters between gastronomic professionals and enthusiasts, food related experiences and shared conversations. A space specifically designed to feed this culture.

The Lago Interioriza studio designed the project which the publishers describe as “a space conceived to support the written word, for meetings and experiences without imposing its presence; a place for people who think about things.” And that design philosophy is also applied to the lighting, designed by Vibia’s Lighting & Wellbeing Studio team as a sequence of settings organized around the space that supports the various rituals that happen there. The Plusminus collection which was designed by the Diez Office featuring a textile belt which integrates the electrical wiring that allows different light fittings to be attached, provides this project with a remarkable versatility and complements the Africa table lamp and Tempo pendant.

On arrival, neatly organized bookshelves greet visitors, taking center stage within the space. Beside them, a long table invites us to leaf through the pages of the books on display. Here, Plusminus helps organize the spatial layout. Along a single textile belt a Linear High Confort is attached that illuminates the tabletop combined with a few spots that direct the gaze towards the bookshelves. Meanwhile Africa sits on the side table, designed by Francisco Gomez Paz, projecting a sculpted, focal and adjustable lighting.

As we continue to explore deeper inside, we arrive at another corner, separated by a metallic curtain with a bar counter equipped for presentations, lined by a wall of shelving not for books this time, but culinary awards which the publishing house has collected since its founding. The story continues, and Plusminus reappears, this time in a green tone with semi-spherical lights suspended from the belt. Here too the elegant and portable Africa lamp focuses the light and will also be featured in the kitchen beyond.

In the area used for recording podcasts, christened ‘Se me antoja’, (I’m craving …), the light becomes more attenuated inviting a more intimate conversation, reflection, and shared intimacy. An effect that Plusminus once again helps generate, this time with semi-spherical diffusers in a green finish.

We then arrive at the events space, with round tables accommodating gastronomic activities and shared experiences with other diners. Here the lighting is conditioned by the communal activities, inviting a mutual interaction between both while learning about food. The conical version of Plusminus directs the light towards the center.

The kitchen, tucked into one of the corners, introduces a colorful yellow element into the scheme and, as one would expect, is given pride of place. Here the Linear High Confort version of Plusminus returns, a sleek minimalist fitting, highlighting the activities happening at the heart of the space below.

For the bathrooms the subtle silhouette of Tempo, designed by Lievore Altherr, seamlessly blends with its surroundings and completes the spatial flow. The oval structure of progressively more opaline glass attenuates the light and softens it. The collection’s Red Earth finish combines with the candles to create a sensation of calm.

This showroom is proof that food never tastes better than when it’s shared, when it’s discussed, when it is savored by those who appreciate it. The lighting, a luminous mosaic of different collections that complement one another in the space while also creating a visual continuity, sets the scene for the cultural exchange that happens here.

Much more than simply being decorative the lighting is part of the architecture, dialoguing with it, with the public and the food itself. Adding to the gastronomic experience, highlighting the printed book as an object and celebrating aspects of food that go far beyond the kitchen.

Imagine a day in June in Copenhagen. The sun brings warmth in anticipation of summer and the city hums to the rhythm of 3daysofdesign. Hours slip away in a constant flow between colourful buildings and cobbled streets. In the heart of the city, the streets open up to reveal a brick church with a rectangular floor plan and a pitched slate roof. Surrounded by an aura of serenity that hints at what awaits inside. And what awaits is CENTER, Vibia’s lighting exhibition curated by Note (design studio), which offered calm, contemplation and stillness throughout the festival.

Inside Helligaandshuset Church, Vibia’s luminaires entered into a dialogue with the historic architecture in all their contemporary character. They made it feel approachable and accessible, while the building, in turn, elevated them. Their light touched every stone, every arch and every ribbed vault. Ritual became the thread connecting present and past because that is precisely what good lighting seeks to achieve: to accompany the ceremonies of everyday life, creating the right setting for every routine, every situation and every emotion. For three days, from 10 to 12 June, CENTER became a shared experience of light.

A large dark wooden table positioned at the centre of the installation acted as the focal point of this act of connection. It was a meeting place where designers, professionals and visitors could gather to converse, share ideas or simply sit and experience the light. On the table, around it, outside the church and within the threshold — the transitional space between the two — different yet complementary luminaires were displayed in a layered lighting composition reflecting the four areas of exploration, what we call design concepts, and with them, different ways of approaching the relationship between light, space and the people who inhabit it.

At the centre of the scene, on the table, were designs whose sensitive light is expressed through materiality, form and texture. These collections embody the concept of ‘Materiality and warm light’, representing the meeting point between lighting and art. Visitors to the exhibition in Copenhagen were able to discover two collections that will be available next autumn: Duna, designed by Cecilie Manz, and Array Lineal, by Umut Yamac. The first is a delicate structure made of washi paper, light and almost absent. The second explores the possibilities of thread to create luminous sculptures. Asia, by Antoni Arola, was also present, evoking the archetype of the Eastern house.

To one side of the installation stood Circus, by Antoni Arola, with its elegant simplicity designed to conduct light. Under the concept of ‘Conducting light through space’, it guided the visitor journey alongside the Plusminus collection by Diez Office, positioned behind Duna, between it and Array Lineal.

Both iconic collections, which have played a defining role in Vibia’s evolution, are born from this idea and share the same philosophy: a structure — a conductive bar in the case of the former and a textile belt in the case of the latter — into which different types of luminaires can be integrated. Designs that adapt in service of creativity.

At both ends of the large table, the scene evolved throughout the day thanks to luminaires responding to the concept of ‘Dynamic light’, whose illumination changed in tone and intensity to adapt to the natural light filtering through the large stained-glass windows. Among them were two collections that will soon join the Vibia catalogue: Daylight, by Daniel Rybakken, which evokes the effect of natural light entering through a window, and Oko, by Ramos & Bassols, a monolith floating in space whose light interacts with its form.

Their light was complemented by that of the acclaimed Pro, by Holscher Design, which subtly reinterprets the mechanism of the spotlight.

Finally, there were the collections that demonstrate how lighting adapts to different architectural contexts and how outdoor spaces also require warmth and atmosphere. This is the idea behind the fourth concept, ‘Indoor-outdoor living’, and examples could be found both inside and outside the church. Indoors were Africa, designed by Francisco Gomez Paz; Alba, by Palomba Serafini Associati; Mayfair Mini, by Diego Fortunato; and Musa, by Note Design Studio.

In the threshold, the transitional space between interior and exterior, visitors encountered Closer by Ichiro Iwasaki, which reappeared in the garden alongside Out, by Víctor Carrasco, both engaging in dialogue with the surrounding nature and the city beyond.

In a setting designed for connection, connection was indeed constant and genuine. It happened through spontaneous visits, but also through the ‘Meet the Designers’ sessions, which allowed visitors to meet the designers behind the collections in person, understand how they think and discover their creative processes. It was present from the very beginning, from the evening of June 10th, with the opening celebration that brought together friends of the brand.

Throughout these three days, while Copenhagen breathed design, CENTER offered an invitation to pause, to reflect and to be enveloped by light, by its texture and by the way it can transform a space and those who inhabit it. An invitation to experience that transformation.

The collections exhibited during 3daysofdesign are currently in development. Select designs are expected to be introduced in future releases for the North American market.

Just inside the threshold of Hidden Sant Gervasi the eye is captured automatically by the stainless cylindrical island. There is no bar counter to differentiate the areas. Coffee is ground, weighed and served before whoever arrives in front. Everything happens there, with no division lines. The making process is no longer hidden, in such a way that even just ordering a cup of coffee feels different and much more intimate.

And it didn’t happen by accident. This is the fourth Hidden Coffee Roasters establishment in Barcleona, at number 101 of Travessera de Gràcia, after a pioneering journey which commenced in 2015 when speciality coffee was still an unfamiliar concept for most. Since the beginning as well as introducing the idea to the public, the brand invested in the source, traceability and its own roasting, makign an argument for direct and full transparency between the barista, the client and the product. Rather than accelerating its consumption, the preference was taking one step at a time, from bean to cup.

This opening, more than any of the previous ones, encapsulates the journey they’ve undertaken over more than a decade. “For us, it’s a turning point,” explains Hidden, “it’s not just about opening a new space, but about reaffirming who we are today. After years of growth in the sector, we wanted to do something that spoke from experience, from learning, and from the desire to continue adding value.”

That intention is immediately obvious on entering. The architect Javi Iniesta and his team Studio Animal in collaboration with Hidden, designed an interior that avoids anything unnecessary while putting the emphasis on coffee and its preparation. The central island brings together the making and acts as a unifying element for its surroundings, facilitating a more fluid circulation around it. Anyone nearby can observe, ask questions or simply hang out at their leisure. The overall layout is more open, homely, a space that invites spending time rather than just leaving afterwards.

The materials respect the same logic. The charred wood, inspired by the same tones as the roasting process, adds a warm character, while the steel and glass act as a pristine counterpoint. Everything combines while nothing overwhelms. The materials don’t compete with one another. Each element fulfils its specific function and adds to the coffee making activity, which is what ultimately counts, but discreetly. Just like the light.

The Array Collection by Vibia designed by Umut Yamac is suspended over the island with a presence that is equally diaphanous and sculptural. Its slim metal rings and mesh of stretched threads trace an ethereal volume that attenuates the light and directs is in two directions: downwards, where is lights helps the baristas expert hands in the preparation, and upwards, where it’s gently reflected and refracted throughout the rest of the establishment, reaching the tables and waiting area. The lighting is uniform, no glare or stark shadows, immersing the interior atmosphere in a seamless manner, insulating it from the city noises outside.

Featuring the Terra Red finish, the piece introduces an earthy tone that establishes a dialogue with the charred wood and softens the steel, naturally integrating with the interior palette. More than its presence as an object in space, it acts as a calming reference that helps to configure the various elements and mark the daily rhythm. From first thing in the morning when the deluge of coffee orders descends, till the elevenses get-togethers and the more drawn-out afternoon breaks, the lighting facilitates work, conversation or simply disconnecting from the routine. Hidden describe it simply as; “Even just as a central element, it helps us in the perception of a warmer more harmonious space. That was exactly what we were after.”

In the end, it all boils down to something very simple. The grinding of the bean, the dripping water, the expert hands serving the coffee cup. The lighting doesn’t seek to overwhelm, it’s just there, discreetly supporting the daily routine.

Hidden Sant Gervasi demonstrates how when design and lighting work together to elevate the ordinary, even an everyday decision like taking a coffee break can become a mini ritual you’ll want to repeat, in a setting where you’ll want to linger, look around, and let the coffee set the pace.

Composing Pendants simplifies the design process, making suspended lighting more accessible. It opens up new creative opportunities by providing greater flexibility, cohesion and ease of installation, while offering a more fluid and intuitive way of working with light.

The system allows designers to work with one or more luminaires, individual or grouped compositions, and multiple possible configurations. Unlimited by the restraints of traditional electrical systems, a single luminaire can flow freely through space, or multiple pendants can be suspended as desired, linked to a single point of connection.

Featuring ten versatile pendants, including Algorithm, Flat, Halo, Mayfair, North, Skan, Slim, Tempo, Tube and Wireflow collections, Composing Pendants allows designers to combine different collections and build custom arrangements, adapted to the specific needs of each space.

By arranging various pendants according to their desired lighting effects, designers can create thoughtful compositions that establish visual hierarchy, drawing the viewer’s gaze and highlighting key features, while defining distinctive scenes within a space.

With four discreet fittings to choose from, the system adapts to the existing architecture. For accessible drop ceilings, remote and built-in solutions accentuate the visual lightness of each composition, with flawless connections ensuring a clean, uncluttered aesthetic.

The 18th Century palazzo which has been converted into a four-star boutique hotel is located at the historic heart of the Italian city of Palermo, both the architectural and the interior design were managed by Arch. Parisi. This hospitality project is a carefully curated example of how to reinterpret the historical legacy of a building adapting it to the needs of the modern-day traveller while equally conserving the value of its noble lineage.

After wandering through the vibrant streets surrounding Via Maqueda and crossing the threshold of Palazzo Balsamo Boutique Hotel visitors are invited to relax and surrender themselves to the calming ambience of the hotel where the lighting is designed as an inviting immersive experience perfectly integrated within the various spaces, starting with the entrance.

Just past the threshold guests are presented with a vivid atmosphere that reflects the surrounding cityscape, raw tones, pastel and oak timber colour shades, fill the interiors with a sensual presence, with its arches, vaults and custom furniture. The light fittings create a pleasant and seamless transition from the noisy streets outside to the more intimate and human scale of the hotel interior.

Curved forms are one of the defining elements of the project, beginning with the entrance doors. Another of the hotel spaces where the lighting enhances the guest experience is the breakfast room. Here, the Array collection designed by Umut Yamac is presented as a series of suspended sculptures placed over the tables and chairs, featuring the same curvilinear silhouette designs. The fine tensile threads stretched between the metallic rings reflect a downward and upward illumination that wraps around the space to create a subtle yet spectacular lighting effect. The dynamic perception of the oversized volumes gives off a balanced light that eases the guests into the day ahead while enjoying their breakfast.

The interior design project for Palazzo Balsamo Boutique Hotel is a refined combination of craftsmanship and design, from the selection of the materials to the shapes of the various elements with careful attention paid to the lighting which helps reinforce the warm feeling of the interior spaces. The project illustrates how lighting can be the common thread that connects past and present, lighting the historical architecture with the contemporary design language of the Array collection in the breakfast room, introducing a rhythm and lighting gradation that compliments the start of the day.

The Tube collection consists of a network of slender black tubes that can be arranged freely to channel light towards different shades. Rather than downplaying their practicality, these networks embrace function as a defining aesthetic.

Tube Free releases the pendant from its point of connection, separating the tube from the ceiling by a fine black cable. The result is a more fluid, refined expression. When composed across a space, the arrangement of multiple tubes of equal or varying heights creates a lightweight structure, a delicate language of lines and volumes.
