Designed by Arik Levy<\/a>, Vibia\u2019s North Collection<\/strong><\/a> draws inspiration from the steady glow of the North Star in the night sky. Defined by a deconstructed silhouette that places light exactly where needed, this highly versatile fixture works equally well in both commercial and residential spaces.<\/h2>\n

By disconnecting the base, stem, and shade from one another and reconfiguring them in a dynamic system of adjustable parts, Levy<\/a> has enabled endless options in illumination. Each component can be customised as needed, with the stem serving as a flexible axis. The tighter angle of the shade creates a focused pool of downward light in a desired area, while a softer slant of the carbon rod traces a more open line for diffuse light.<\/p>\n

In a private home in Vilnius, Lithuania, a pair of North<\/strong> floor lamps<\/a> illuminates the airy, double-height living room.<\/p>\n

Triangular shades hang in tandem from elongated carbon arms that arc gently away from their heavily anchored base. One fixture hovers over the dining table, delineating that area, while the second casts an ambient glow adjacent to the sofa.<\/p>\n

The shades are suspended at middle height, creating intimacy in the lofty space.<\/p>\n

Two supporting stems intersect overhead, each holding aloft a simple shade. Its geometric silhouette offers a streamlined, sculptural presence in keeping with the pared-down kitchen d\u00e9cor, while picking up the colour palette of the stools.<\/p>\n

The fixture\u2019s sleek rods rise up towards the soaring ceiling, drawing the eye to the striking d\u00e9cor dotting the overhead space. Situated next to a pair of live trees, North<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s tall, angled stems sprout from weighted bases, recalling those organic shapes with aluminum shades in place of leaves.<\/p>\n
