The prestigious ground breaking publication Wallpaper*<\/a><\/strong> has bestowed a 2017 Design Award on the Flamingo<\/strong><\/a> pendant light fitting, created by Antoni Arola<\/strong><\/a> for Vibia within the \u201cBest Sleep Over\u201d category.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Flamingo<\/strong><\/a> deconstructs its elements allowing different assemblies to be configured by architects, interior designers and other lighting professionals. The LED light source projects onto a series of disks, supported by slender metal wires providing an indirect illumination that works as an up-light or a down-light with different effects depending on the distance between the various elements.<\/p>\n

The bible for design aficionados, originally founded by Tyler Br\u00fbl\u00e9 in the 1990s Wallpaper* selects outstanding design related \u201cpeople, places and things of the year\u201d from around the world in a total of 11 special award categories. This year\u2019s jury included brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec<\/strong> as well as Amanda Levete<\/strong>, Laetitia Casta<\/strong>, Tom Sachs<\/strong> and Ramdane Touhami<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
