The concrete and timber cubic volumes of Ramp House are the perfect foil to the surrounding garden which provides a protected context for this contemporary residence designed by Studio mk27 Architects (Marcio Kogan + Renata Furlanetto) located in Brazil\u2019s most populous city Sao Paulo. The client is a collector of African artworks and the main living room on the ground floor is treated as an exhibition space.<\/p>\n

The tropical climate conditions allow for a deep floor plan which is bounded on one side by the ramp access and on the other by the garden. The space in between is clad with timber, stone and marble finishes and decorated with mid-20th<\/sup> Century inspired furniture and light fittings.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The SKAN<\/strong><\/a> collection of lamps designed by Lievore Altherr Molina has been perfectly integrated within this space, the fluid lines and minimal silhouette of the pendant provide the ideal forms and function to compliment this living room \/ art gallery. The subdued colour range and LED source reflect the subtlety of the d\u00e9cor and optimum performance required within an interior that was also designed by Diana Radomsyler of Studio mk27.<\/p>\n
