Dining & Design: Fostering Social Connection Through Light

Soft, warm lighting creates an intimate atmosphere, ideal for a family meal or romantic dinner. Designed by Meike Harde, Knit consists of a single knitted sleeve stretched out over a curved diffuser. Light seeps outwards through the fabric, interacting with ribs of earth-coloured yarn to create a comforting and familiar ambience.

The fixture’s sleek geometric architecture appears to float from invisible cables, its lower half studded with LEDs and sheathed in the tube-shaped curve of the diffuser. Like a majestic scroll, Kontur hovers overhead, imbuing a dining table with an atmosphere of serenity and allure.
